Robins, blue tits and wood pigeons. Just a few of the birds that will probably visit your garden today, in search of food.
Over the weekend of 29-31 January, we’re inviting you to spend an hour recording which birds visit your garden, as part of the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch.
"Enjoy an hour with nature and discover the wildlife on your doorstep."
To get started, whether you are a Scout or member of the public, just follow these steps:
Encourage more birds to visit your garden or balcony, by setting up a feeder or bird table. But make sure you use good quality bird food (see www.rspb.org.uk/get-involved/activities/birdwatch/feeding-and-attracting-birds/ for more).
By taking part, you can be part of the world’s largest wildlife survey. It gives us a better idea of which garden birds are becoming more common - and which are vanishing.
