This November, the Hampshire Beaver Scouts team brought a new event to the calendar, a visit to Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard

With a wealth of history from the Mary Rose, including their new 4D experience, to The Victory the Beavers were able to secure all access passes for the day, including a 90 minute harbour boat tour. Plus they got an exclusive badge and treat.

Beavers from as far afield as Basingstoke, Gosport and all neighbourhoods of Portsmouth gathered for the day and reaction has been amazingly positive so far.

Kelly, a volunteer with 4th Gosport Beaver Scouts said:

4th Gosport had an amazing time at the Dockyard. We explored Boathouse 4 and claimed our prize for completing their trail, went on the Harbour Tour where we loved being so close to all the huge ships, had a go at Action Stations' Climbing Wall and Sky Tykes course and ended our day in the Mary Rose museum. The 4D experience was epic!

We even bumped into some policemen who told us all about how they were working hard to keep the Dockyard safe with the navy ships moored up as well as the Christmas Market. It was an amazing day and can't wait for the next one!

There was plenty of praise for the team of organisers, the supporters on the day, including Jennie for organising it. The idea originally emerged out of the desire for an activity in the South East of the county to complement toe existing events at Paulton's Park in the South West and 4 Kingdoms in the north of the County.
