Hampshire Scouts are currently looking to recruit an administrator to join their staff team part time (22 - 25 hours per week).

Salary: £20 400 per year pro-rata for part time role.

Primary Objectives of the Role

  1. Be the first point of contact for both internal and external enquiries to Hampshire
    Scouting and assist or direct onward as appropriate.
  2. Provide support for Hampshire Scouting’s County Digital Team, County Grants
    Team and District Commissioners in delivering our mission.
  3. Provide a range of administrative support within the busy County Office as part
    of the County Office team, with both paid and voluntary staff.

Hampshire Scouts is investing in expanding our Growth and Development Team in order to support Groups and Districts across the County with the recruitment and retention of adult volunteers and ultimately create more opportunities for young people to get involved in Scouting in Hampshire.

The Role

Our team of Growth and Development Officers are responsible for working in partnership with District Commissioners, Group Scout Leaders and other volunteers to deliver focused growth projects across the County. This will involve supporting Scout volunteers to develop and grow Scouting, including but not limited to; delivering volunteer recruitment, supporting new and existing volunteers, and building community links.

2 positions available

£26,300 Full-time 37.5 hours per week.
£15,430 Part-time 22 hours per week.

Two year fixed-term contract 

Based either at home or at the County Office at Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre, Brockenhurst

Hampshire Scouts is investing in expanding our Growth and Development Team in order to support Groups and Districts across the County with the recruitment and retention of adult volunteers, support Groups following the Coronavirus Pandemic, and ultimately create more opportunities for young people to get involved in Scouting in Hampshire.

The Role

The Growth and Development Coordinator will work to provide leadership, coordination and support for Hampshire Scouts’ team of Growth and Development Officers. The post holder will set the direction for the team and oversee projects in progress. They will research and develop project leads through monitoring of data and communication with County and District volunteers to identify areas of need. They will monitor effectiveness of our Growth and Development work and ensure value-for-money is achieved.

22 hours per week

Two year fixed-term contract 
£17,850 per annum (£30,400 full time equivalent) 

Based at the County Office at Ferny Crofts Scout Activity Centre, Brockenhurst
