Camping Challenge

The camping challenge is a great excuse to get more nights away in all sections from Squirrels to Network. It is also a fun and exciting challenge that can be made more difficult with the progression to the extreme camping challenge. 

What do you need to do?

The camping challenge requires participants to camp a certain number of nights over a year. For each section there is an extreme camping challenge for those who want to take it a step further.

1. Register your section: You can sign up here
2. Complete your challenges - you can do the standard or extreme challenge
3. Buy your badges: Complete this form to order your certificate and badge. Badges are £2 each. Leaders can order badges for their explorers or individuals can email their logbook to [email protected]. 

FAQs

What counts as a camping night away? Nights away follow the same requirement as the activity badge - it must be a Scouting activity. 

How can we make this award inclusive? The requirements can be adapted to make the award inclusive e.g. indoor nights away could be used. 

What do you get for completing the extreme camping challenge? You get a special certificate for completing this challenge.
